Ok, today I work at the bank for half a day then I shoot 2 scenes tonight. These are called "steals" since they were originally on the schedule for another day but because the some of the talent (3 of the cast) flaked and committed to another project too (with the same schedule as we have) then we have to work around them. That has played out with 2 hour spurts of filming and hitting it hard on the weekend. On weekends we go again and try to get off a mess laod of pages for a student production, like 5 1/8**. That is not impossible in and of itself but we are students and our talent are too! Meaning we cannot conflict with other life responsibilities. As the assistant director (AD)...I can tell you it has been challenging to make around 30 peoples schedule jive to build a good crew and have the talent where the need to be. Thankfully, there has been grace shown to me when I make an error.

I said this to my friend Jaynie but saying it out loud might make it less "big": I want to go to LA, I want to work on that production with the AD who came out here, and I want to keep the same foundation under me and have it grow even stronger. Are all three possible?

Time will tell.
